Join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of La Fonda del Bosque as we introduce ongoing weekly dinner services on Thursdays and Fridays from 5-:730pm (in addition to our Tues-Sat Lunch services from 11:30- 2:00 pm.). Located at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, La Fonda del Bosque is excited to reopen our doors, under new ownership, for Lunch and Dinner service (along with special event dining, coordinated with the NHCC). Prior to this official Grand Opening, La Fonda del Bosque has been operating primarily with limited lunch service and with caterings through their parent company, City Treats Parties.

The new owner, Chef Stefani Mangrum, is also the owner of City Treats Parties which has been in business since 1995. Stefani Mangrum has been a local chef and business owner in New Mexico since 1989, owning restaurants such as City Grill and Wine Bar and the Albuquerque Museum Cafe, including the ongoing and successful City Treats Parties. Chef Stefani's new venture with the National Hispanic Cultural Center through La Fonda del Bosque is one the community and all of her long term clients are excited for.

During the official Grand Opening, there will be live music from 6-8pm by native New Mexican, Michael Tait Tafoya. Michael was born in Albuquerque and has lived in Santa Fe for 22 years. It’s there in Santa Fe, the birth place of his mother, that he began his journey into music. His focus is in Latin Fusion, World and Classical styles of guitar and singing. Michael's live performances are comprised of original works, music and lyrics, created by the artist himself. We look forward to having this very special guest at our event. He will be singing and playing guitar throughout the night.

La Fonda del Bosque is also proud to debut our ongoing, monthly feature, the First Friday Art Collective. This month we will begin early, starting on the night of our Grand Opening, featuring local artist and muralist, Stevan Gutierrez. Stevan Gutierrez is an Albuquerque artist who specializes in “Street” and Mural Art. He has exhibited work in Albuquerque at The Cirq Gallery, 5g, and 516 Arts. He has painted murals across the Southwest, West Coast and the Pacific Northwest, and worked extensively with the Community Rejuvenation Project, an ongoing mural arts organization that involves the youth in Oakland and Richmond, California.

Every first Friday of the month, La Fonda del Bosque will host an open house art display, featuring local artists, including meet and greets. The artwork for those artists will hang in our restaurant throughout the month with the works being available for purchase during business hours.

All evening we will have Happy Hour discounts, $1 off all beer, wine and mixed drinks. All food will be free, while supplies last. There will also be craft, adult snow cones for only $5. Come eat, drink, mix and mingle on the patio, under the cottonwoods, near the new fountain with live music and art. Special door prizes will be handed out to attendees. We will also host a raffle benefitting the National Hispanic Cultural Center.

We look forward to seeing you! Please be sure to RSVP. Space is limited.
