Join us at La Fonda del Bosque as we celebrate the opening of our latest art exhibit, featuring Amado M. Peña III and his show "Vibrant Songs". There will be dinner and drinks available for purchase, DJed music (also by Amado), free tapas (while supplies last), a meet and greet with the artist, and art and prints available for purchase.
About the Artist:
Amado M. Peña III comes from a family of artists and has been making art all of his life. In May 2017 he received his BFA with a specialization in painting from Texas State University just outside of his hometown of Austin. This body of work, from Vibrant Songs, chronicles the culture of today's vibrant swing dance community of which he is a member. His work is influenced by Bonnard's use of color, Toulouse-Lautrec's staging of scenes, and Hopper's isolating compositions. It is his hope that his love and joy for both painting and dancing he feels, is felt by each and every one that comes across his work.
