Artist Bios - Albert Rosales
Albert’s professional career started in the 4th grade. He sold his first art piece to the Albuquerque Children’s Museum in Elementary school. At 13, he airbrushed t-shirts and learned Graffiti techniques to utilize spray cans, using an airbrush for quicker and more realistic effects. At 18, he learned color, composition and mural creation at the Mayor’s Art Summer Institute. Since then, he’s done art for various city and community projects, restaurants, such as Annapurna’s, O Ramen, “My Moms restaurant”, the Albuquerque BioPark & Zoo, and private projects for clients and friends. He currently teaches art at New Day Youth and Family Services, a facility that helps middle and high school kids in transitional living situations. Being born and raised in New Mexico, he hopes to bring awareness and change to the issues that we face by expressing himself artistically and teaching youth to do the same.
